The only son of Eorzea's Warrior of Light. To most of Etheirys, he is Caelo Windmere. While his mother never had a forest name herself, she gave her child a secondary name only to be known by those with the closest of bonds.To those few who manage to find out, he is Rohs Osk; a name in dragon tongue, roughly meaning "Wake Truth".While he did not remain a secret for long, his mother would have done so if she could. Caelo was born on a small isle off the coast of Vylbrand, and some time afterwards was placed with his maternal uncle to live in relative safety. He spent the first few years of his life in Kugane with his uncle Sincere and his long-time partner. Later on, Caelo did accompany his mother on some of her adventuring after she accepted he could be safer with her.A reserved and quiet boy, Caelo was thought to be a lonely child but when given the opportunity to be around other children he would end up frustrated. Left to his own devices, he preferred to be solitary. The one exception is a boy named Tyméoaux de Fortemps, a miqo'te-elezen boy and the son of a close friend of his mother.

While still pregnant, his mother went back and forth if and when she should tell him he's half-garlean but the choice was made for her; Caelo was born with a prominent third-eye. She still kept the identity of his father secret, being vague and giving half-truths when necessary.When he was not with family, Caelo spent time with trusted friends of his mother and uncle learning skills. Winters at the Ironworks. Autumns in the field. Summers in libraries. Springs in Kugane. While notably talented at most anything he tried, the boredom he approached every task or subject with was worrisome. Relief came one day when Caelo did find one thing in the world that he was passionate about; fish. His uncle's father-in-law was the only one to not be surprised, having noticed how the boy spent much of his spare time at koi ponds and tide pools. Unlike his mother, Caelo eats meat but does remove seafood from his diet as he gets older.While he does love his mother, the relationship becomes strained over time. Overly attentive yet often left in the care of others, catching onto the adults around that watch him like a hawk; at some point he puts enough pieces together to guess with some certainty who his father is. Despite his questions, Caelo is trying to not let his mother find out he knows, adding to the tension.
